Biggest real estate adventure?

Begging a landlord to accept my tenancy application on the grounds that my wife was stuck in a 40 below Winnipeg winter until I found a place.

Biggest adventure, period?

Logging hundreds of hours on buses across the U.S. and Canada in support of a middling college baseball career.
